A little bit about who we are

In September of 2017, a group proud Middleboro High School alumni came together to form the Sachem Pride Alumni Foundation. The Sachem Pride Alumni Foundation is a 501(c)3, non-profit organization that supports academic and co-curricular activities for students.

The Founders of the Sachem Pride Alumni Foundation recognized that co-curricular activities are integral to the overall education of a student.  Co-curricular activities are an extension of a good education and support the academic mission of the school.  They reinforce the goal of teaching students to be responsible and fulfilled human beings with opportunities that develop critical thinking, character, and social skill, all while promoting a sense of membership and belonging.  Students who participate in co-curricular activity programs have higher grade point averages, better attendance records, lower drop-out rates and fewer disciplinary problems.  In addition, other cognitive factors are developed such as self-esteem, confidence, social cooperation and leadership skills.

Members of the Sachem Pride Alumni Foundation provide commitment to students and alumni to help them develop to their maximum potential. Evidencing this commitment, members participate in Middleboro High School’s 21st Century Learning Conference each year, providing current students with networking opportunities with existing alum, as well as exposure to careers and other opportunities that exist beyond graduation.

Through private contributions from corporations, businesses and individuals, and the energy and generosity of former students, existing faculty and community members, the Foundation has been able to contribute to current students across all academic and co-curricular activities. The Sachem Pride Alumni Foundation is actively looking to expand its network in the community and region, and interested parties are encouraged to reach out.
